Congratulations Koln TaeKwon-Do ( ITC

celebrating 35 years of TaeKwon-Do in Germany

June 4, 1999 was a significant date in TaeKwon-Do History and U.T.I. would like to publicly express its deep and sincere appreciation to UTI National Representative for Germany, Chief Instructor Alfred Wallraf for his tireless efforts, leadership, dedication and loyalty in the organization and execution of this event.
As part of the 30th Anniversary Celebrations of the University of Cologne TaeKwon-Do Department, UTI-Germany played host to the promotion of two of its leaders.
During these days Grand Master and President
of the Unified TaeKwon-Do International, Scott L. Kopperud conducted several seminars and rank
examinations for every level and every age from White to Black-Belt.
He was assisted by members of the legendary TEAM CANADA including Chief International
Instructor A. Glenn Fox, Provincial
Representative for Canada and Vice President of the UTI Technical Development
Committee. A significant item in the rank examinations included the promotion of
Master Norbert Zabel to the rank of 7th Dan Black-Belt and the promotion of
A.Glenn Fox to the rank of 5th Dan Black-Belt.
The highlight of the Cologne-Event, and significant point in TaeKwon-Do history, was Grand Master Kopperud's 8th Dan Demonstration. On Friday June 4th he demonstrated his superior TaeKwon-Do skills in both the world and international styles in a public exhibition and examination in front of the UTIG - European - North American Examination Board, over a hundred Black-Belts and invited guests from USA, Canada and Europe.
On this occasion, the UTI-Germany and UTI also honoured Grand Master Max Geburt, one of Europe's Pioneers in TaeKwon-Do and the first to reach the rank of 7th Dan Black-Belt, by promoting him to the rank of 8th Dan Black-Belt, for his life's work and dedication to the development of TaeKwon-Do.
