Q. Do I keep my rank when I join U.T.I.?
A. Yes. (Black-Belts and Instructors must submit a copy of their present
rank certificate)
Q. Can I advance in rank with U.T.I.?
A. Yes. Up to 5th Dan Black-Belt through the video/written examination
process
Q. Do I need to change my techniques, forms, sparring and training
style?
A. No. Color-Belts use either the ITF"Chun-Ji" or WTF"Taguek"
forms and Black-Belts use either or both sets of forms. Sparring styles
range between the traditional and world styles.
Q. Can I keep my membership in other organizations and still
join U.T.I.?
A. Yes. UTI members are encouraged to draw quality resources from many
styles and organizations.
Q. Can I transfer my rank from another Martial Art into a TaeKwon-Do
rank?
A. No, although previous training and experience may accelerate your
progress in TaeKwon-Do.
Q. When should I join U.T.I.?
A. If you are sincere about your desire to advance in your TaeKwon-Do
education and training, and you are sincere about helping others, then
NOW is the time. You have found a non-political international
organization dedicated to the continuing development and evolution of
TaeKwon-Do. If you are an Instructor who would like to assist and have
a voice in the development and refinement of TaeKwon-Do, then NOW
is the time to join. If you are tired of organizations that demand a
lot, offer little and have many strings and restrictions, then NOW
is the time to join UTI.
