Sean Unkauf started training in TaeKwon-Do in 2009 at Dual Dragons TaeKwon-Do in Stettler as a way to meet members of his community in conjunction with his work as a pastor. He utilized prior martial arts experience and a strong work ethic to advance quickly, earning his first degree black belt in a mere two years, his second degree in 2013, and his third degree in 2015. He has made it a tradition in Dual Dragons to take black belt candidates aside for a prayer before each of their exams.

Sean operates the Dual Dragons TaeKwon-Do branch in Bashaw, Alberta as well as occasionally assisting in Stettler. He has also raised three children with a passion for TaeKwon-Do, each at various points in their own martial arts journeys. Outside of the studio, Sean is a pastor. He often brings his passion and faith into the studio to drive his training and further his success in TaeKwon-Do. He has overcome many obstacles (including many injuries) to get where he is today. This is a testament to his conviction and drive.
On March 14, 2019, Sean successfully earned the title of Chief International Instructor, and the rank of 4th Degree Black Belt in Stettler, Alberta, in an examination held by Grand Master Scott Kopperud, and witnessed by Master Dave Hargreaves. His family and students rallied around him for an exam which demonstrated his perseverance, determination, and sense of humor.
Congratulations on your promotion Chief Instructor Sean Unkauf.
